Rizq is wider than income
In Islam, rizq includes health, time, family and contentment as well as money. The Prophet's du'a asks for guidance, piety, chastity and sufficiency (Sahih Muslim 2721), placing being sufficed beside the other gifts. A rizq du'a can therefore ask for halal income and for barakah in what a person already has.

Typical intentions: a job after a long search, a shop with few customers, a debt that weighs on a household, a salary that disappears too fast. The need can be stated in one sentence. Figures can be left out: asking for “relief from debt and halal income” conveys the need without private numbers.
Effort and tawakkul together
The Prophet ﷺ said that if people relied on Allah as they should, He would provide for them as He provides for the birds, which leave hungry in the morning and return full (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2344, hasan sahih).
